At last, a safe all natural and effective Mineral Sunscreen that also moisturizes your skin, without leaving that whitish cover on you.
I always hated using sunscreen when I was a child. I got rubbed that thick paste that smelled funny and made me wait 30min before jumping into the Mediterranean sea!
Later in the years I would watch my mother and other women at the swimming pool using a "more mature" sunscreen made with oil out of Carrots, which left a funny orange layer on their skin.
Years later I discovered how bad the conventional Sunscreens are, not only by not allowing our skin to fully get the nourishment from the sun during safe hours (morning or evening) but also incapacitating our natural UV filters to function! The words that I first heard were that the ingredients of these creams send orders to the body to not get red with the sun exposure. But where is the protection here?
This is a very delicate matter for many. Not only to mention if product like these might or might not be a cause of skin cancer (not the sun). Maybe if we look at the ingredients, they are not safe to even the environment! Whatever you guys think or the reality is, my approach is to make whatever I can myself, so that I understand what I am putting onto my skin without any fear.
Mixing my mother memories of using Carrot Oil and many other natural ingredients that are proven to work as sun protection, included my beloved Organic Grass-fed Dexter Tallow, I got a sunscreen that my husband Colin can use without harming his fair Irish-American skin.
I created a sunscreen that even if hard to believe, it has covered us throughout the day while whale watching, hiking or beach camping.
With a SPF of 30 it is enough for your face and all body to be protected. It is water resistant thanks to the Beeswax, but either way, I recommend to reapply after 2 or 3h.
Also, I ask for common sense: I am Spanish, and I would never in my life would go out in the sun of my country while it is at its peak. It is no matter of a good or bad sunscreen, if the sun is strong I would avoid prolonged contact. I would use hats or look for shady areas so that there is not chance of fainting!
The final part is "We are what we eat". Meaning that you can also build up a skin protection and tolerance by cooking with oils that don't oxidate with the sun (aka seed oils). Do keep away from palm oil or processed foods, as they create an internal inflammation and oxidation that shows on a low skin protection against UV. Instead, we consider the use of Olive Oil, Tallow, Butter or Ghee to build up that resilience from inside out!

Purchased Summer Balm SPF 30 last week. I'm in Spain at the moment and it's absolutely a brilliant product. Very easy to apply and in no way greasy on the skin. I usually burn as I'm fair-skinned and as I'm nearing the end of my holiday there is no sign of any burning. I highly
recommend it. Fast delivery service too 😀
