Exfoliating is my extra self-care treat when in the shower. And mixing it with cocoa scent, with a spicy mix of ginger & orange, makes it all more enjoyable!
Back in 2022 Anna, with Nibbed Cacao, contacted me looking for a solution for her cocoa husk problem. Nibbed Cacao's products use organic cacao beans. They are left with loads of husks. They try to use them in tea blends, or on the garden, but they get much more than they can ever use! In my case, one woman's compost is another woman's treasure.
Cacao husks, like coffee grounds or activated charcoal, are perfect for exfoliating. They remove dead skin and unclog pores.
I knew that this ingredient could be used as a source of Caffeine on the skin, or in Cocoa case, Theobromine. So I crafted this bar a great and gentle way to exfoliate those areas in need of extra attention.
We recycle her cocoa husks into a soap. It gently exfoliates and has a great winter scent. Ideal for oily and mixed skin, specially if looking for an acne natural help. I personally find it really handy at reducing my pimples in a less aggressive way.
Our cocoa bar is beautifully soft and nourishing, thanks to organic coconut oil and grass-fed tallow.
